Rob Maher brings many qualities to Checkmate, chief among them his liking for tackling big projects. He loves the idea of getting people to gel and seeing a team come together. He has proven organisational skills, such as when, in Ireland, he organised large events that seated up to 4,500 people. He qualified in mechanical engineering and this gave him his liking for precision, analysis, logic and combining them with a creative spirit. His background in gymnastics ensures discipline, determination and the foresight to eliminate upcoming difficulties. One area that he is proud of in his life is that the gym curriculum now in use in schools throughout Ireland, was devised by him after studying best practice in many countries. This ability to stay abreast of developments keeps him in good stead in the marketing world as he is always bang up to date.

I could hear the buzz of excitement and activity of my colleagues; spending my days here with these amazing people is my pleasure and proudest achievement. My most important role is company "doctor". It's my job to create and maintain a healthy working environment in which to learn and grow.
